  34.   We will be shipping a "pre-release" 4.0 for MIPS, Alpha, and the PC within
  35. the next month (slippable though).  This is in response to market demand, and
  36. purchasers will receive final 4.0 when it ships.  Upgrade cost from 3.5 to 4.0
  37. on any platform will be $149.95 (Only one upgrade per 3.5  package).  Final
  38. versions for all four platforms will likely ship simultaneously within the
  39. next quarter.  No word on plans for a pre-release 4.0 for the Amiga, I believe
  40. the main reason we are do this is the insistance of folks with other platforms
  41. (and therefore no access to LightWave at all, unlike VT owners and LW 3.5 SA
  42. owners) that they want to get started ASAP, right now, no actually yesterday,
  43. please, with Lightwave.
